How do artist accounts differ from fan accounts?

Artists sign up at /signup as an artist, claim a handle, and get the Studio: tiers, uploads, offerings, gigs, pledges, community, street team and a message inbox. Fans sign up as a fan and get a dashboard for subscriptions, unlocks and messages.

What can an artist sell?

Membership tiers, digital releases (demos, stems, videos, livestreams), physical and limited drops, 1:1 services such as lessons or mixing, cameos, private gig packages, pledge rewards and paid DM replies.

How do memberships work for fans?

You subscribe to an artist tier and immediately unlock everything gated at or below that tier, plus any member-only community space. You can cancel or resume from your dashboard at any time.

What are gig and project pledges?

Gig pledges let an artist pre-sell a set number of tickets to decide whether a show goes ahead. Project pledges are crowdfunding towards a financial goal — an album, a video, or equipment — with rewards for backers.

How do paid DMs work?

An artist sets a price and a reply window. Fans pay to send a message; top-tier members can be given free access. If the artist misses the window, the message is marked unanswered so it can be refunded.

Do you take a cut?

Yes — Backline takes a flat 10% platform cut on what you sell, and you keep 90%. Pricing is always set by the artist. Payments in this build are simulated for demonstration — no live card processing is connected yet — and full payout terms will be published before real transactions are enabled.

Can I delete my account or my uploads?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Artists can unpublish or delete any offering, tier or file from the Studio, and any account holder can request full deletion via the contact page.
